How do I choose the right choker size?
If you don't have a seamstress tape measure, take a piece of yarn or string and wrap that around your neck to a comfortable fit marking the point where the end touches itself. Lay the string straight next to a ruler and note the length. Our most popular choker size is a 15" and 7" is a standard bracelet size.

What type of pearls do you use?
AA High-Quality Freshwater Pearls
Our semi-baroque/near-round pearl pearls range from nugget shaped to round. If you would like a more specific shape please let us know so we can select a shape you prefer. All pearls are thoughtfully hand selected to ensure your jewelry has the best and brightest gem there is. Pearl size is about 10mm. Quality is AA high luster clean skin, with minor flaws and spots. No two pearls are alike; each one is unique and different.
How do you care for the leather?
If you’ve never had leather jewelry before, you may not be aware of how to care for your leather. To preserve the beauty and flexibility of your leather, be sure to keep your leather conditioned with Shea butter or a tiny bit of olive oil from time to time. All pieces in the shop are made to order. Thus you may choose from natural raw leather, dark brown, brown or black. Beach Life pieces come in a variety of colors and should not get wet.
Don’t worry about a little bit of wear: One of the greatest things about leather is that it looks beautiful both brand new and after years of wear. It will eventually have its own character, showcasing how much you love your leather piece!
Can I wear my jewelry in the ocean?
You say: “I love it so much, I don’t want to take it off! I want to shower with it, swim with it, work out with it…” Unfortunately, water damages leather and may eventually weaken the construction of your jewelry. And YES, we do apply a waterproofing wax to all our jewelry that prolongs the life and enhances the performance of the leather, BUT it will need to be reapplied every few weeks. If you do choose to wear your leather jewelry in the water, know it will wear, and may eventually need to be replaced.
How do you care for the sterling silver?
Preventing Tarnish on Sterling Silver:
1. The best way to prevent tarnishing is to store clean, dry sterling silver in a dry airtight container.
2. Don’t leave silver jewelry in the bathroom.
3. Minimize sterling silver’s contact with chemicals (hairspray, perfume, body lotion, bleach, etc.) and do not wear it the shower, swimming pool or hot tub.
4. After taking off silver jewelry, clean it with a soft dry cloth before putting it back into an airtight container.

How to tighten and maintain adjustables.
How to Adjust Bracelet: Once your Cape Cod Pearl Bracelet is on your wrist, hold one of the slip knots and with the other hand pull gently on only one of the strings. If there is no movement, use the other string. Pull the string about two inches, then repeat with the other slip knot.
How to maintain slipknot: Use needle nose pliers to pull firmly on the leather tail located at the end of the knot. Trim the tails of any excess leather, but be sure to leave enough length to keep the knot secure!
What happens if my knot comes undone?
