Beach - Shop - Eat - Falmouth Cape Cod

Even as a local Barnstable resident, visiting Falmouth feels like going on a mini-vacation. It can sometimes take us up to 45 minutes to get to Falmouth center, and we feel like we are a world away! There is so much to do in Falmouth. Whether you are a local visiting for the day or a Bostonian visiting for a week, you will find many adventures. Falmouth is jam-packed with so much to do! Wood Hole, Falmouth Center, Highfield hall, Old Silver Beach, shining sea bikeway, Nobska Light, Cape Cod Winery… the list goes on. Here is our shortlist of our favorite beach, shop, and eatery!

Surf Drive Beach-

Falmouth is a peninsula, and as such, it has so many beaches running on both sides of town. If you head to the Vineyard Sound side of Falmouth, facing the island of Martha’s Vineyard is one of Falmouth’s best-known beaches called Surf Drive Beach. It is a gorgeous three-mile stretch of sand that runs from Falmouth Harbor to Nobska Lighthouse. You can park in one of the public lots, and you will be walking distance to Falmouth’s Main Street, where you will find all the shops and restaurants.Covid-19 What to expect: Go during low tide when there is WAY more room. Remember to be 12 feet apart from other groups. Wear your mask while walking the beach or to/from the parking lot.

Celebrations of Cape Cod-

Celebrations is a one of a kind boutique in the heart of Falmouth Village on Cape Cod. It is an eclectic shop carrying nautical-inspired decor, unique jewelry, baby items, and whimsical Cape Cod prints. Lauren, the store owner, has a fantastic eye for gorgeous, one-of-a-kind items that make the perfect gift! They offer complimentary gift wrap that will make your shopping day complete!

Covid-19 What to expect: Open from 9:30-6 pm for in-store shopping and masks required.

Bad Martha

If you have not gone to Bad Martha in Falmouth, what are you waiting for!? Stop by after a local adventure. It has the perfect 21st-century hipster laid back vibe, and the food is delicious! We loved the outdoor space, beautiful flowers, the staff was attentive, and the BBQ chicken pizza was amazing!

Covid-19 What to expect: Outside dining no mask required when sitting at your table. Like all restaurants these days wear your mask when entering and exiting.

PS: They are dog friendly!!
