How do you moisturize pearls?
To moisturize your pearls, try this technique that I use:
Prepare tools and your pearl.
Softly wipe the pearls with a damp cloth. (I use microfiber cloth)
Use a cotton ball or swab to apply mineral oil (or baby oil) to the pearls.
Let the mineral oil sit for at least around 15 minutes (you could even let it soak overnight)
Wipe the pearls with a dry clean soft cloth to remove any excess.
How often should pearls be worn?
Pearls are often thought of as special occasion jewellery, but you can use them every day! In the style aspect, the key is to pair pearls with other pieces that don't overpower the pearl's delicate beauty.
It is imperative for a pearl to be worn, as the pearl jewelry will benefit from contact with your skin. The surface of a pearl is porous, and will absorb all the natural oils from your body. However, try to stay away from lotions, and sunscreen as it has alot of chemicals on them that could probably damage the pearl.
Pearls are gorgeous and add a beautiful shimmer to your outfit. If you don't wear them every four months or so, they can dry out and become dull and yellowed. For gorgeous pearl necklaces, and jewelries, like this one from Cape Cod Choker's Jewelry collection
