Our business is deeply rooted in Cape Cod and New England, both in where we make things and how we show up in our community. Sharing real-world skills from jewelry making to running a small business.
Almost everyone on our team is born and raised Cape Cod, and we prioritize working with local partners whenever possible — from regional silk-screen printers and embroidery shops to producing and finishing pieces close to home. Inspired by the coast and a relaxed New England aesthetic, our work reflects the place we’re proud to call home.
At the core, we believe in supporting the arts, shopping small, and empowering the next generation of women to see themselves as creators, leaders, and business owners.
The Artist & Founder
I’m Katie, the artist and founder behind Cape Cod Chokers. Before running this business full-time, I was a math teacher — including teaching entrepreneurship seminars — and that background continues to shape everything we do.
Art has always been part of my life. All of our designs begin as original paintings or hand-drawn artwork before being translated onto jewelry, apparel, and accessories. This brand lives at the intersection of creativity, education, and community.
Handmade & Designed on Cape Cod
All of our jewelry is handmade in small batches using pearls, shells, and natural materials. Our apparel features original artwork and is produced locally through layered silk-screen printing and embroidery.
We prioritize thoughtful design, quality materials, and local production whenever possible. Each piece reflects our coastal roots and a relaxed New England aesthetic meant to stand the test of time.
Community, Creativity & Entrepreneurship
This business is also a place for mentorship. We work with young women through internships and hands-on learning, partnering with local schools across Cape Cod.
Team members learn jewelry making, printing, pricing, customer connection, and what it really takes to run a small business. Some come for the art, others for the business side — and many leave with the confidence to pursue creative paths of their own.
The Art
Our signature Cape Cod artwork began as an original acrylic painting inspired by the movement, color, and atmosphere of the coast. Today, that artwork lives on through silk-screened apparel, stickers, accessories, and more.
Each piece is painted or hand drawn by Katie and created freehand before being transferred onto products. The goal is simple — to capture not just how Cape Cod looks, but how it feels.
